The Pre-Admit Document Uploader simplifies the pre-registration process by allowing patients and schedulers to submit required identification, insurance cards, and consent forms before the day of service. Each uploaded artifact is validated, classified, and staged to the correct encounter, ensuring all documentation is ready for confirmation at check-in rather than collection under pressure.

The application uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and classification logic to extract document metadata, verify content quality, and map each file to its appropriate document type and encounter. Documents are stored as FHIR DocumentReference resources with standardized metadata, preserving legal record integrity and interoperability with enterprise EDM systems.
